Who is Bailey Dickens and Fader Productions, LLC?
It is just me, Scotty W. Fader and the character voices in my head as I write. The other two are inspirations of mine – George Bailey of It’s a Wonderful Life who sacrificed all he could to make sure others lassoed their dreams and Charles Dickens the writer of one of my favorite stories The Christmas Carol and many more amazing books that live on generation after generation.
I wanted to honor George Bailey and Charles Dickens by making them part of the name of the production company I write under. I hoped it would make me live up to the greatness of their names and what they did for entertainment and the audiences they acted and wrote for.
I am a service-disabled US Army veteran who joined the Army at 35 - YES 35!! Soon after graduating from boot camp and AIT I was deployed to Afghanistan. After leaving the Army I jumped into writing screenplays and treatments to find a way to escape and in hopes of entertaining others one day.
I am currently working on multiple screenplays. I prefer drama and romance genres. I enjoy mixing the two together. I also have written action, adventure, super hero, horror, and film noir concepts.
Part of my writing process is also writing lyrics and music concepts that can be incorporated into the screenplays. The lyrics tend to become more personal to the screenplay as I know the scene and emotion I am hoping to elicit. The right words or music can make or break a scene. I have been a musician since I was 11 years old. I hear words and melodies that may add to scenes.
I hope to be able to connect my screenplays with the right people to get turned into movies or TV shows. I am currently looking for the right entertainment manager and agent to guide my career.
